Pierre Jacob

I am a French philosopher of mind, increasingly working in the philosophy of the cognitive sciences. I have published books and papers in general philosophy of science, the philosophy of language and the philosophy of mind. I am currently head of Institut Jean Nicod, a CNRS/EHESS/ENS research group based in Paris (France), created in 2000, and whose members do research at the interface between philosophy, the cognitive and the social sciences. In the past, I have been a member of CREA (1988-1995). From 1995 to 1998, I worked towards the creation of the Lyon Institute of Cognitive Science, of which I was a member (1998-2000).
